1. About these Terms

These Terms apply to your use of the FaceFinderLens website and search tools (the “Service”). By using the Service or buying credits, you agree to these Terms, our Refund Policy and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

2. Who can use the Service

  • You must be at least 18 years old.
  • You are responsible for making sure your use of the Service is legal where you live.
  • You must not use the Service if you are in a country or on a list subject to sanctions that prohibit it.

3. What the Service does

FaceFinderLens offers these tools:

  • Face search: you upload a photo, and a third-party facial recognition provider looks for publicly available web pages that show a visually similar face. Results are links, small preview images and similarity scores.
  • Phone lookup: you enter a phone number, and third-party data providers return information that is linked to that number in public or commercially available sources, such as carrier details and linked online accounts.
  • Face comparison: a free tool that compares two photos. It runs in your browser and does not send the photos to us.
  • Free previews: some tools show a free preview before you use a credit. A preview is only an illustration of what a full result looks like and is not a search result.

We do not access private accounts, messages or password-protected sites, and we do not control the third-party websites that appear in results.

4. No accounts, and credit codes

You do not need an account. When you buy credits, you receive a credit code. Your browser remembers it so you can keep using it on the same device, and it is also sent to the email address you gave at checkout.

  • Keep your code private. Anyone who has the code can use its credits. We cannot restore credits used by someone you shared the code with.
  • Credit codes are valid for 30 days from purchase. Unused credits expire after that.
  • Credits have no cash value and cannot be transferred or resold, except as described in the Refund Policy.
  • Some codes only work with one type of search. If so, this is shown when you use the code.

5. Prices and payment

  • Standard pack: 3 credits for $3.95
  • Premium pack: 7 credits for $6.95
  • Every purchase is a one-time payment. There are no subscriptions and nothing renews automatically.
  • Prices are shown in US dollars at checkout. Taxes may be added depending on where you live.
  • Payments are processed by Stripe (including Apple Pay and Google Pay). We never see or store your full card number.
  • We may change prices at any time. A price change never affects credits you have already bought.

6. Acceptable use

You agree to use the Service only for lawful purposes, such as checking your own online presence, confirming that someone you are talking to is who they say they are, or protecting yourself from fraud. You must not:

  • stalk, harass, threaten, dox or intimidate anyone, or help someone else do so;
  • try to find or contact someone who has chosen not to be in contact with you;
  • upload photos of children, or photos you have no right to use;
  • use results to make decisions about someone’s employment, housing, credit, insurance or any similar eligibility. The Service is not a consumer reporting agency under the U.S. Fair Credit Reporting Act or similar laws;
  • discriminate against anyone, or infer sensitive information such as health, religion or sexual orientation;
  • use bots or scripts, get around usage limits, resell results, or interfere with the Service.

We limit the number of searches per network connection to protect the Service. If we reasonably believe the Service is being misused, we may block access and deactivate the related credit codes without refund.

7. About the results

  • Results come from third-party providers and public sources. They may be incomplete, out of date or wrong.
  • A face match means two faces look similar. It does not prove that they belong to the same person. Always check the source before you rely on a result.
  • A search that finds nothing does not mean the person or photo is not online.
  • You are responsible for how you use the results.

8. Third-party websites and removal requests

Results link to websites we do not own or control. If a page shows content about you that you want removed, please contact that website directly. For removal from the facial recognition index, contact the provider that runs it. We do not keep search results on our servers, so there is nothing about you for us to delete. You can still email us at support@facefinderlens.com and we will help where we can.

9. Availability

We try to keep the Service running at all times but cannot promise that it will always be available or error-free. Our providers may also change or stop their services. If a full search fails, the credit is returned as described in the Refund Policy.

10. Intellectual property

The FaceFinderLens name, website, text, design and software belong to us or our licensors. You may not copy, modify or resell any part of the Service without our written permission.

11. Disclaimer

Except where the law does not allow it, the Service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without any promise that results will be accurate or complete, or that the Service will meet your needs.

12. Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law:

  • we are not responsible for indirect or consequential losses, such as lost profits, lost data or harm to reputation;
  • we are not responsible for the content of third-party websites shown in results;
  • our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for the credit pack the claim relates to.

Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, or takes away rights you have as a consumer under the law of the country where you live.

13. Your responsibility

If you break these Terms or the law while using the Service, and this leads to a claim against us, you agree to cover the reasonable costs of that claim, to the extent the law allows.

14. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms. The “Last updated” date above shows when they last changed. The Terms in place when you use the Service apply to that use.

15. General

  • These Terms, the Refund Policy and the Privacy Policy are the whole agreement between you and us about the Service.
  • If a part of these Terms cannot be enforced, the rest still applies.
  • If we do not enforce a right straight away, we can still enforce it later.
  • If you have a problem, please contact us first so we can try to solve it quickly.
